Ukerewe, Tanzania
The Feast of Tabernacles this year will be held in the Ukerewe district. Ukerewe is the fifth-largest lake island in the world with an area of 530 km (200 sq miles). It is also the largest island in Lake Victoria as well as the largest island in Africa.

From the Festival site, one can take a motor bike to a village located under the banana and orange trees. You can also go to the Halwe Viewpoint, the highest point on the island with rocks and caves. From the rondo viewpoint you will be able to view Mwanza city in Tanzania, Entebbe in Uganda, and Nairobi in Kenya.

The shoreline of Ukerewe Island is carved into numerous bays. It is surrounded by 38 small islands surrounding the neighborhood, 3 of them unoccupied by humans and the other 35 occupied by fishermen and their families. Some of the activities will include introductions to local fishing, canoeing, biking, and village tours.

A few other things that you will see include agricultural activities. The residents farm maize, sweet potatoes, millet, cassava, and rice.

This Feast site is open to international transfers.
